3 Different Schools of Aromatherapy

DID YOU KNOW THAT THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT SCHOOLS OF AROMATHERAPY?

They differ mostly in the way they advocate to apply essential oils to the body. These 3 different schools are:

ENGLISH:

  • Diluted topical application (with a large amount of vegetable oil)
  • Massage
    • Relax
    • Relieving stress

FRENCH

  • Pure topical application (undiluted)
  • Ingestion
    • Add to agave nectar, honey, a little vegetable oil, or put it on a piece of bread
      • Produces benefits internally

GERMAN

  • Direct inhalation or diffusion
    • Fragrance can exert effects on the brain
    • Especially in the limbic system and the hypothalamus
    • Increase oxygenation and activity in the brain

-> this directly improves the function of many systems in the body

(Myrrh, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Vetiver and Melissa)

WHAT METHOD OF APPLICATION IS PREFERABLE?

INHALATION / COLD AIR DIFFUSION:

  • Increase the secretion of growth hormones
  • Promote weight loss
  • Balancing mood and emotions

Oils good for inhalation: Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Peppermint, Vetiver, Lavender and Eucalyptus

TOPICAL APPLICATION:

  • On the back
  • Muscle Injuries
  • Defects

Oils good for application: Marjoram (muscles), Lemongrass (ligaments), Wintergreen (bones).

ORAL ADMINISTRATION:

  • Indigestion
  • In a glass of water
  • In a capsule

Oils that are good to add: Peppermint Vitality, Di-Gize Vitality and in general: all 'Vitality' oils with a white label.
